Happy April Fools' Day! The French equivalent is Poisson d'Avril (Fish of April). The tradition is to slap a paper fish on your friends' backs as a joke. When your friends realize they have fish stuck to their backs, you scream, "poisson d'Avril!" which is kind of hilarious. I didn't see people with paper fish stuck to their backs today, but I did see some elaborate chocolate fish window displays.
Hahaha that is really hilarious. But also cheesy (ahem fishy), which is great. Chocolate fish? ReplyDeleteHaha, actually no, Swedish fish are gummies lol! The French do like their own gummies (crocodiles and dinosaurs are pretty popular) though, but I think chocolate is their favorite...but really, snacks are not really a thing here, so people just eat chocolate.
